Meditation Classes are both for beginners to meditation and for those with more experience. Meditation teaching is drawn from different traditions and does not teach religious practice or promote any of these as necessary in order to learn meditation. It is a practical approach and is drawn from many years engaged in study, practice and teaching within both Soto Zen ( Zazen ) and Insight Meditation ( samatha-vipassana ).
One to One Teaching
One to One Teaching is for those who would prefer more individually based teaching, either as a beginner or for those with more experience. The practices are utilised using many different forms of meditation from varying disciplines and traditions and can include a psycho-therapeutic focus. The particular form of meditation taught will be based on the unique needs of the student. An example of this being that some may require a more concentrative focus of meditation, whilst others may be suited to more expanded forms, focusing more on regulating emotion and developing sensory awareness, and insight. Both of these elements however are necessary if one is to cultivate further practice.
